Honda Civic 2016 Transmission Replacement Manual

Brendon answered 3 years ago Currrently i am trying 2 repair a clutch that was said 2 be workin / Honda 20001 civic lx has 229 k and clutch had been prior replaced stated by owner/ there is a vibrational rattle sound that was emmulating from transfer case when clutch was not engaged. Considering that the transmission is filled with fluid i found this odd.

Honda Civic 2016 Transmission Replacement Manual. Nowadays, it's difficult to imagine our lives without the Internet as it offers us the easiest way to access.

I had noticed the sound after re-filling the transfer case. In most cars.

Even manual transmission. But before i say what i was going 2.

Manual Transmission Replacement Cost

That after switching gears at any gear and even droping the clutch fast that when the accelerator is not pressed the catching pressure is fairly normal. When within 2/4th gear that it can tend 2 slip like its pressure plated has compression or condensation inside the case.but the oil they used is fairly thick even considering that the pressure plates inside the clutch wear without changing the fluid so that the jog springs release.even considering what i told you that maybe petro condensation creating steam slip creating heat that glides the gears backwards causing slip ratios. Maybe adding water or salt 2 addhear frictions or even creating a a tube that slips the conditions creating a condensor pressor grip.even if these conditions exist within the clutch plate after the Materials wear down and the plates wear. Causing a vaccume air bubble om top of a vaccume problem existing in this region. The fluid said and stated for thus vehicle. Even iff its obviously way not 2 smooth but very like drinking a tube of toothpaste while you shove a vaccume up your ass. That its very Torque Related.

Even after all this Dropping the gear always works and as well low rpm seems fine even under torque. Considering these models were designed 2 use examples of torque. The pressure plate is slipping when applying the torque and fluid filled steel case is vibrating when clutch is disengaged. Even if the fluid is 2 thick.the transfer case has a torque ratio even if it was harmonic. Even when i compare that to when hydraulic pumps go bad and blame it on the dude stepping on the peddal or when the fluid has not been flushed.

Or the condensation levels of materials in which create back pressure air bag b slipping heating and slipping. And scorring or scarring from minor ammounts of materials stripped from the pressure plates after based as opperable.

786 mi Manual transmission got stuck moving over for reverse. Got it undone. Dealership couldn’t duplicate problem. Happened later less strongly. Once or twice wouldn’t shift entirely into first. Was in gear, could drive, just not all the eay forward. Double clutching helped.

Maybe transmission just needed to be broken in. Made in India. Maybe new for Honda. Tried shifting into reverse, got stuck, manual transmission. They couldn’t duplicate. Happened again, but less severe. Twice tried going into first, seemed to not want to go in all the way, but released clutch, car was in first. Transmission made in India.

Two liter non-turbo engine. 10000 mi First repair by dealer #1 for oil leak identified near passenger side front wheel during maintenance visit: repair took 1 week. Following week engine light came on: I limped into dealer #2 - no transmission fluid. That repair took 2 days 7000 mi While traveling through the mountains in TN, the Trans lost 5th gear. Turned out to be a 3rd gear pressure plate.

Johnson City Honda took care of it, and all is now well! 37000 mi In hot weather the transmission would not shift into all the gears, pressure switch was replaced, problem returned next day. Third time since new. 38000 mi Three times in one month the transmission would lock up and not shift into all the gears. The dealer finally claims its a computer issue, and we are waiting on parts. Something in the transmission electronics continued to malfunction, causing the transmission to stay locked up in higher gears. I asked Honda to buy the car back, said no, dealer offered to, then reneged, said car is broke, we don't want it! 8000 mi An abnormal LOUD grinding noise is heard every time I go from reverse to drive or vice versa.

Its worse when its cold. I am assured this is 'normal' but I am loosing confidence in the car. Oh, Honda corporate service stinks. 17000 mi Erratic upshifting; low mpg.

Updates programming to PCM. 55200 mi US $90 Slippage in first gear at 1500 rpm.

Dealership folks said this is a common issue.

Powertrain was under warranty. 106600 mi US $350 Axel had to be replaced 31300 mi Clicking noise back again from 2011. Had to prove to them it clicks when it's cold and has a slight vibration each morning. They finally opted to replace the the drivers side axle shaft.

24000 mi Car had difficulty shifting into 3rd gear intermittently (on average 1-2 times a day), and would make noise on deceleration when in a low gear. 1st gear synchros replaced. 3rd gear set replaced. 44000 mi US $54 Gears in the front differential stripped. Leading to a loud tapping sound at speed 87000 mi US $1250 clutch and clutch master cylinder. 50000 mi Third gear set was replaced.

37000 mi Differential ring gear tooth broken. 165000 mi Hard gear change experienced for about a week. Whenever I moved from 0-20 and 20-40 as if I'm manually changing the gear and fail to use clutch.

Eventually its fixed on its own. Visited the shop anyway as I've taken an appointment.

The mechanic did not recommend that any work be done to the car at this point. 57000 mi US $150 CVT Transmission shudders upon initial acceleration. Had it checked out by a mechanic and he said it needs replacing. Quoted $700 for labor and $1000 for him to buy a trans from Honda. We found a trans on kijiji for $200, bought clutch off of Ebay, bought misc sockets after rounding the ones we had at home, and rented an engine hoist to help us lift and align the trans with the engine.

Clutch fluid reservoir was empty and clutch pedal failed to operate clutch. Replenished reservoir, pumped the pedal, and clutch function was restored.

Considering self-repair options for clutch slave cylinder. Also suspect some leakage from clutch master cylinder based on old (2+ years) stain on top of driver floor mat, on firewall. 'Caused by shop' - slave cylnder replacement was over 4 years old, so arguably not shop's fault, but part did not last nearly as long as original. 179180 mi C $455 clunk from front right, needed a new CV joint 156000 mi US $1900 Transmission replaced, oil pump disintegrated in transmission. 153000 mi US $17 Needed new dipstick because it wasn't sealing well anymore.
