I suspect from online sources that it might be a lighting switch? The rubber around this has deteriorated and fell off last weekend.

ThanksI've no idea whether my Yanmar panel is type B or not, but there are two toggle switches. One to illuminate the panel and a second to turn off the warning buzzer.
